Sidhartha Barua is a seasoned legal professional associated with J&J Legal, with over two decades of experience in dispute resolution, insolvency, and corporate advisory. He has represented leading banks and financial institutions before the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, and various tribunals, and has been involved in several landmark matters shaping arbitration and insolvency jurisprudence.

He has served as Standing Counsel for institutions such as IDBI Bank and India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (IIFCL), and has advised on high-value insolvency proceedings, debt restructuring, and enforcement of lender rights. His practice also includes cross-border M&A, private equity transactions, fintech advisory, and regulatory compliance under FDI, SEBI, and RBI frameworks.

Prior to his association with J&J Legal, he was a Partner at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and AZB & Partners, and has also worked with the Office of the Additional Solicitor General of India. He brings a unique blend of litigation and transactional expertise, coupled with a strong strategic and analytical approach.

He holds degrees from St. Stephen’s College, the University of Delhi, and the University of Warwick, and is enrolled with the Bar Council of India.
